T-Shirt and Memory Quilts are a great way to preserve your memories as a unique, quality and useful piece of art. You provide the t-shirts or clothing and I supply everything else. Each shirt is cut to size to be laid out in a mosaic layout. Our quilts are fully machine quilted on a longarm with an edge-to-edge design making your memory quilt durable and machine washable.
Pricing & Sizing
Pricing is based on number of shirts you want included. A deposit of $150 is required. The balance is due when your quilt is complete and ready to pickup or ship. Once you have selected your shirts, please contact me to discuss your quilt and receive a quote. As a guide, quilts are approximately $25 per shirt design used. *Each design from a shirt is considered 1 shirt. Below are approximate sizes based on number of shirts.
Large lap quilt – approx.. 52” x 60” (15-20 shirts)
Throw quilt – approx. 64” x 68” (20-30 shirts)
Twin quilt– approx. 68” x 80” (25-35 shirts)
Full quilt– approx. 75” x 88” (35-48 shirts)
Queen quilt – approx. 90” x 100” (50-60 shirts)
King quilt – approx.. 95” x 112” (60-75 shirts)
Let’s Get Started!
- Choose your shirts. The number and size of your images will determine the size of your quilt. Have specific dimensions you want to stick with? Let me know in the planning phase so I can adjust accordingly.
- Contact me to plan your quilt. At this time we will go over number of shirts and number of sides of your shirts being used. You will now be provided a quote and estimated completion date.
- Prepare your shirts for shipping by washing and drying your shirts (NO fabric softeners please) prior to packing them. Do NOT cut your shirts. I will cut each shirt for the best fit.
- All designs and logos of each shirt will be used unless noted otherwise. NO markers please. Simply mark an X on the logos you do NOT want with masking tape.
- Deliver or mail your shirts along with a deposit check of $150 via USPS using FLAT RATE PRIORITY boxes. Please forward tracking number upon shipping so I know to be looking for your package. Wrap your shirts in plastic to protect the shirts and fill any empty space in the box with packing material. Boxes with open space allows the box to be crushed and increases likelihood of damage during transit. I’m happy to help should you have any questions.
Once Received
- Design and layout begins once I have received your shirts
- Suggested border, backing and binding fabrics will be shared for you to make the final choice
- Quilts will be completed in approximately 6 weeks from receiving your shirts. Please contact me prior to shipping if you are needing a shorter completion date.
Care of Your Finished Quilt
Machine wash on gentle cycle with cold water. Dry on low heat, taking out just before dry. To extend the life of your quilt, do not over-dry your quilt.
